Connecting Cultures, Building Bridges
Amitié Plurielle Luxembourg asbl was founded in 1969 to enable a better relationship between Portuguese speakers and Luxembourgers. But for several years, the association has evolved with immigration to Luxembourg. Today, APL is an association of plural friendships that promotes intercultural and intergenerational dialogue.
The Interculturando project is the flagship project of the APL. With the library and bookstore, the promotion and publishing of books, Interculturando is the result of the new challenges in society in Luxembourg.
APL Initiatives for Harmonious Coexistence
In this dynamic, APL has a group of Senior Migrants, offers Cuisine and meetings of cultures, organizes Workcamps with the International Civil Service, is involved in the Millefeuilles literary evenings and in the Café des âges (with the Maison des associations) and in many other one-off projects for the promotion of living together within the multicultural society of the Grand Duchy.
APL promotes the meeting of all different cultures through concerts, trips, etc. It is obvious that the commitment also involves all questions of social, cultural and political participation in Luxembourg.
